Dr. Andrew Tisser

Board-certified emergency physician and Certified Life Care Planner who brings physician-level medical reasoning directly into life care planning methodology, serving as designated author or peer-reviewing planner on Case Veritas plans.
Dr. Andrew Tisser is board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine with over a decade of clinical emergency medicine experience, and is a Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP). That combination — a practicing physician who is also a credentialed life care planner — is the distinctive clinical contribution he brings to every plan.
On a Case Veritas plan Dr. Tisser serves as either the designated CLCP author or the peer-reviewing CLCP, depending on the engagement. Either way he synthesizes the medical record, diagnoses, treatment course, and treating-provider and specialty recommendations into a coherent clinical framework, working with Gina Marra so every final plan carries two certified planners from different clinical disciplines. Discipline-specific opinions remain with the treating and consulting specialists.
His prior experience as a physician advisor — reviewing medical necessity and clinical merit across all specialties — informs how he pressure-tests each projection. He has been retained in more than 60 medical-legal cases and co-founded Case Veritas with Gina Marra, with whom he serves as continuing legal education faculty at the American Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association.
Role on every plan
Dr. Tisser serves as the designated CLCP author or the formal peer reviewer on each plan. When he authors, he establishes what the record supports clinically before any cost is attached; when he peer-reviews, he independently pressure-tests the other planner’s work. Both clinicians sign the final plan, so it rests on physician-level medical reasoning and a second certified planner’s review rather than a template.
