These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of caseveritas.com and the Case Veritas Command Center (together, the “Services”) operated by Case Veritas LLC (“Case Veritas,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Permitted use
The Services are intended for attorneys, law firms, and authorized business users seeking or managing Case Veritas medical-legal consulting services. You may use the Services only for lawful business purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
Accounts and authorized business users
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials, for the accuracy of information you provide, and for activity conducted through your account. You may invite or permit access only to people authorized by your firm or organization. Notify us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised or used without authorization.
Professional services distinction
Case Veritas provides medical-legal consulting to attorneys and law firms. The Services do not provide direct medical diagnosis, treatment, or patient care and do not establish a physician-patient, clinician-patient, or other treatment relationship. Information on the public website is general information and is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, or other advice.
Use of the Services does not create an attorney-client relationship between Case Veritas and any person or organization. Any professional engagement is governed by the applicable engagement terms.
Third-party integrations
The Command Center may allow you to connect services such as QuickBooks Online / Intuit, Gmail / Google, Attio, and scheduling or calendar services such as ZCal. You are responsible for having authority to connect those accounts, selecting appropriate permissions, and complying with the applicable provider terms. You control whether to authorize a connection and should disconnect it through the applicable provider or account settings when appropriate. Case Veritas is not responsible for the independent operation, availability, or policies of third-party services.
Confidentiality and matter information
You are responsible for handling client, patient, and matter information appropriately and for determining what information may be submitted to or connected with the Services. Use reasonable care to avoid submitting information that is not necessary for the requested functionality. Case Veritas does not provide a guarantee that any particular legal, regulatory, or professional standard applies to a specific matter or use case.
Intellectual property
The Services, including their software, design, text, graphics, branding, and other content, are owned by or licensed to Case Veritas and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Services for authorized business purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Services except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
Prohibited misuse
You may not use the Services to violate law or third-party rights; interfere with or disrupt the Services; bypass security controls; access another user’s account; introduce malicious code; scrape or harvest information without permission; impersonate another person; or use the Services for direct patient treatment, emergency response, consumer lending, litigation funding, or payment processing.
Availability and modifications
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Services, including features and integrations, at any time. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in every location. We may perform maintenance and may update these Terms as the Services change.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Case Veritas disclaims warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that information or outputs are complete, current, or suitable for a particular legal or medical decision. You remain responsible for independent professional judgment and review.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Case Veritas and its owners, clinicians, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from or related to the Services or these Terms. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims arising from the Services or these Terms will not exceed the amount paid to Case Veritas for the applicable Services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow all limitations, so some provisions may not apply.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Case Veritas and its owners, clinicians, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Services, violation of these Terms, or violation of another person’s rights.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if we reasonably believe that you violated these Terms, created a security or legal risk, or used the Services in a way that could harm Case Veritas, another user, or a third party. You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions concerning intellectual property, confidentiality, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, and dispute-related obligations.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Case Veritas’s U.S. operations, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. No specific venue or jurisdiction is designated by these Terms; applicable law will determine where a claim may be brought.
Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use of the Services after revised Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
